Hello everyone! We recently came back from visiting Utah on Friday at around 5 am and had a pretty hard time sleeping on the plane! We loved seeing our families and it was so sad to leave them - we already can't wait to see them again! We had major jet lag, slept for way too long and our sleeping schedules have been messed up ever since. No matter how much sleep we get we are still so tired! That being said - It's nice to be back in the humidity and to a routine again!
I started my Monday off well and got the house all clean! Is it weird that I enjoy Mondays? It's a new week, and a day to start off the week fresh! I see and hear many people complain about Mondays, but thats usually what gets us to start the day bad in the first place! I think its "a thing" people like to do just because we all see and hear it everywhere, especially in social media and it's easy for us to fall in the same pit and say it ourselves. How different would our days be if we started it with a positive outlook?! I think we should start to look at Mondays as a good day to set new goals and make the best of the days we get to have alive! Speaking of goals - This week I'm holding myself accountable to creating a better daily routine.
My goals this week - 1) Physical activity for at least 30 minutes, 3 times a week. It's not much, but I know it's better than nothing! 2) Read my book daily for at least 30 minutes, after my household chores are done :) And last but not least - 3) Read and ponder the scriptures for 30 minutes daily.
My days don't usually have a pattern but I want to start having one to help me when we start having babies. Having a good schedule or even an outline can make our days more productive and to help you feel a level of accomplishment. I usually do everything I need to during the days, but I know if I can get myself to build better habits it will help other aspects of my life. Besides, it's good character building and making good habits can help get rid of old bad ones! ;)
I'll post updates with how it's going and feel free to share your goals and any tips that help you in your daily routine.
Happy Monday, happy week, make it a good one!
x
Jessica.
