The One About Me

Hello!!! Just want to share a little bit about myself.

I'm from Cancun, Mexico. (I know, its almost everyones favorite vacation spot!) I was born into a wonderful family whom I adore and cherish so much and after marrying my incredible, selfless husband, Corey, I inherited more wonderful people as my own family. I'm grateful for them, my friends and all people I meet. I've come to accept that I'm an awkward person and I love to be weird with those around me. (No shame - kind of) I love our Savior, sharing my testimony, reading, cooking, learning, making things, the beach, warm weather, I also love animals and all good things for the mind, body and spirit. I'm not a perfect human but I strive to be better than what I was yesterday, today and even just a minute ago.

Making our way downtown.....

Ever since I was a little girl I loved reusing things around the house and would think that I could create or fix anything with what my family called "garbage" and I admit it now... it was indeed, garbage. I had some crazy imagination I guess! Am I alone in this??? If I'm not, I would love to know you creatures out there! Anyways, growing up I had "phases" of what I wanted to be, like: some kind of doctor, a wedding planner, a photographer, a dancer, an interior designer, architect, a psychologist, and those are just a few of the many other random things. I ended up not doing any of those and learned my way through life by life lessons, skill gaining, falling down and getting back up. Through my jobs I learned things like, communicating, improvising, problem solving and networking which got me from one job to the other. Some say "Its not what you know, its who you know" *insert boss feeling with thug life glasses*

just kidding! Although knowing people helped, that wasn't the main reason, it was because of who I was as a person and how I presented myself to them. Any who, now I'm here with no "cool" job nor any degree. What??? Yeah...... now I'm working with my husband (which is quite awesome) and working on this website to hopefully inspire others and share light.

I'm working on creating and building the best version of myself so that I can do what I didn't realize I wanted to do during those moments when I thought I wanted to be a: doctor, a dancer, a psychologist, an architect, etc. which is to help, do service for others the way that I do it best from the way that I am through the qualities, skills and specially talents I've been given. I realize that ever since I was little I always wanted to create, to invent, to inform others of good things amongst other intentions I've had, but unfortunately got lost along the way because I was trying to be what I thought the world wanted me to be, without focusing on me and discovering my divine purpose.

Our Heavenly Father has given us all talents of our own, some similar to others and some completely opposite and it's for a reason far bigger than we know, all I do know is that at least these gifts were given to us so we can all work together and help inspire each other! That is why I also need your help! Inform me with what you know because in order to help we must be willing to be helped.

Not everyday is going to be sunshine and unicorns especially when we have trials, which we all do, so don't think because I want to share "good" things that I don't have bad days just like everyone else or that I'm always chipper. I'll simply be sharing what I learn from through the days we are given. I'm here because I want to share some ways with living a better life by feeding our minds, minimizing the amount of bad things we put on our bodies as well as what we put in them. In our family we have a rare disease called Eosinophilic Gastroenteritis amongst other undiscovered sicknesses. Because of this, we realize that we want to create a better place in our home for our bodies to have a "safe haven" from all the outside things that are harming our bodies and along the way I want to learn what helps others overcome their own obstacles and share what helps us enjoy life more fully amidst our own dark days.

This is how I am using my talents that God has given me and want to make sure I become better and spread the light to others so I may serve them.

I look forward to sharing this journey with everyone of you so I would love to hear what helps you live a more healthy life, what inspires you, what books you recommend or anything that you think will be good to share with others, please send me an email and together we can have a Corjess Life! I hope I gave you enough glimpse of me, and if you want to know more, let me know and I'll try to answer most of your questions! Also, if you liked this post please feel free to share it with others! We are a team! If you have any suggestions that will be great also!

Thanks for your love and support!

- Love, Jessica
